Emergency Medicine Physician - Locum Tenens Opportunity near Chesterhill, Ohio

We are currently seeking an experienced Emergency Medicine Physician for a locum tenens opportunity in southeast Ohio, near Chesterhill. This is a great chance to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, providing essential care to the community. The position is ideal for physicians who can commit to a minimum of 5 shifts per month and are available for night and weekend shifts.

Job Details :

  • Position Type : Locum Tenens - Emergency Medicine
  • Location : Near Chesterhill, OH
  • Shifts : Primarily 8 p.m. to 8 a.m. with a focus on nights and weekends
  • Shift Requirements : 5+ shifts per month
  • Weekend Requirements : Yes
  • On-Call Requirements : Not applicable
  • Estimated Volume : 20,000 patients annually
  • Bed Count : 11 beds in the emergency department
  • Trauma Level : None
  • Fast Track : Yes, available in the emergency department

Responsibilities :

  • Oversee APPs (Advanced Practice Providers)
  • Write orders for admissions
  • Work closely with consultants including radiologists, cardiologists, pulmonologists, gastroenterologists, urologists, and oncologists
  • Provide high-quality emergency care to a diverse patient population

    • Requirements :

  • Ohio State Medical License (required)
  • Board Certification : Must be board-certified in Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Family Medicine through ABMS / AOA (double board certification accepted)
  • Experience : Minimum of 2 years of recent emergency medicine experience required
  • Certifications : NRP required
  • COVID Vaccination : Required
  • Malpractice insurance must be included in the hourly rate
