We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Controller with a proven track record in the healthcare industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of financial operations, including the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk. This role requires a thorough understanding of healthcare accounting principles, excellent leadership skills, and a strong ability to manage multiple tasks within tight deadlines.
Responsibilities :
1. Oversee all accounting operations including Billing, A / R, A / P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.
2. Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts, report variances.
3. Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements.
4. Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting.
5. Research technical accounting issues for compliance.
6. Support month-end and year-end close process.
7. Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
8. Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
9. Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
10. Manage consolidation of all financial data necessary for an accurate accounting of all consolidated business entities results.
11. Monitor debt levels and compliance with debt covenants.
12. Oversee cash flow planning and ensure the availability of funds as needed.
Qualifications :
1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration. CPA or MBA preferred.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior finance role in the healthcare industry.
3. Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.
4. High attention to detail and accuracy.
5. Ability to direct and supervise.
6. Strong experience in both the private and public sector is a plus.
7. Proficient in accounting software and administration.
8. Solid understanding of healthcare accounting and financial reporting.
9. Proven ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
10. Excellent communication and leadership skills.
11. Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost accounting, and cost control principles, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
12. Advanced knowledge of financial and accounting software applications.
13. Advanced Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables.
14. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
