Job description

Prime Time Healthcare is seeking a travel Cath Lab Technologist for a travel job in Mesa, Arizona.

Job Duties

  • Assist physicians in performing diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.
  • Perform and review baseline patient evaluations within scope of practice and facility standards.
  • Monitor and record ECG and hemodynamic data during procedures; recognize and respond to abnormal findings.
  • Operate all diagnostic and therapeutic cath lab equipment efficiently; troubleshoot and report malfunctions as necessary.
  • Maintain a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors; adhere to all safety and infection control policies.
  • Demonstrate proper aseptic and sterile technique throughout all procedures; handle and dispose of sharps and supplies per protocol.
  • Prepare and process instruments and equipment for cleaning after each case.
  • Ensure ethical, legal, and professional conduct while maintaining patient confidentiality.
  • Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary care team members to provide high-quality patient care.

    • Qualifications

  • High school diploma / GED or equivalent required.
  • Completion of a Cardiovascular Invasive program or equivalent experience required.
  • Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) certification required.
  • BLS certification required; ACLS may be required depending on assignment.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a hospital-based cardiac cath lab or equivalent experience meeting certification requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to function calmly and efficiently in high-stress emergent situations.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Bachelor’s degree and additional related experience preferred.
