Position Summary

The Operations Director – Supply Center is responsible for overseeing all activities within Elevator Interiors’ Supply Center, including materials management, procurement, inventory control, logistics, and distribution. This role ensures that the Supply Center operates efficiently, cost-effectively, and in alignment with company standards for quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.

The ideal candidate is a strategic and hands-on operations leader with experience managing complex supply chain operations, leading teams, and optimizing processes in a manufacturing or construction environment.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Strategy

Direct all operational functions of the Supply Center, including purchasing, warehousing, inventory management, and logistics.

Develop and implement operational strategies that support company growth, cost reduction, and on-time delivery goals.

Partner with executive leadership to align supply chain initiatives with broader organizational objectives.

Supply Chain & Inventory Management

Oversee procurement of materials, components, and supplies to ensure availability for production and project needs.

Optimize inventory levels, turnover, and storage practices to reduce waste and improve efficiency.

Ensure all materials are sourced, handled, and distributed in compliance with quality and safety standards.

Logistics & Distribution

Manage inbound and outbound logistics operations, ensuring timely receipt and delivery of goods to manufacturing and project sites.

Coordinate with transportation providers to optimize delivery schedules and control shipping costs.

Monitor and improve supply chain visibility through ERP systems and analytics tools.

Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement

Implement lean operational practices, 5S, and process improvement initiatives to enhance performance.

Develop and track KPIs for supply center efficiency, productivity, and service levels.

Identify and resolve bottlenecks in material flow and logistics processes.

Team Leadership & Development

Lead and mentor Supply Center managers, supervisors, and staff to ensure peak performance and engagement.

Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous learning.

Ensure training, compliance, and professional development programs are in place.

Budget & Financial Management

Develop and manage budgets for the Supply Center’s operations.

Track expenses, analyze cost drivers, and implement cost-saving initiatives.

Support vendor negotiations to optimize pricing, delivery terms, and performance.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s preferred).

8+ years of progressive experience in operations, supply chain, or logistics management, preferably in manufacturing or construction materials industries.

Proven leadership experience managing warehouse or supply center operations.

Strong understanding of ERP / MRP systems, inventory control, and process optimization.

Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Exceptional communication and leadership abilities with a focus on team development.

Knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or related methodologies preferred.
