Job Description & Requirements Specialty : ED - Emergency Department Discipline : RN Start Date : 12 / 01 / 2025 Duration : 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift : 12 hours, nights Employment Type : Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Adult Emergency Department role requiring a MA license and recent Level I or II ED experience. Responsibilities Position located in the Adult Emergency Department of a high-volume hospital Shift is 12-hour nights, 7 : 00 p.m. to 7 : 30 a.m., for 36 hours per week Every other weekend and every other holiday required Must be flexible to float to Psych ED and Pediatric ED, caring for patients age 15 in pedi unless prior pedi experience Patient ratio is typically 1 : 4-5 depending on acuity The department manages 350-440 patients per day and has up to 120 treatment areas Travel RNs are not assigned to trauma rooms Float assignments may include coverage of Psych ED and patients aged 15 in the Pediatric ED Team structure in a high-volume, fast-paced environment Orientation includes telemetry competency testing Every other weekend and holiday coverage required Local and travel candidates are both eligible for the position Monthly parking fees apply for onsite parking Requirements Active MA RN license required at time of consideration Minimum 1.5 years of recent Level I or II ED experience, or 2 years of recent Level III / IV ED experience Active and unexpired TNCC, BLS, and ACLS certifications required Ability to independently interpret telemetry rhythm strips and identify heart blocks; must pass a Telemetry Test with a score of 85% or higher on day 1 Experience with Epic EMR preferred Level 1 Trauma Hospital experience required Two professional references on file, one from a manager and one from within the past 12 months Must complete and pass Relias Advanced Dysrhythmia testing Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-628267.
