Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is currently seeking a Sr. Staff Engineer Systems to serve as the Integrated Product Team Lead for the Stand-in Attack Weapon (SiAW) Program. This position can be located at our Northridge, CA, Linthicum, MD or Tucson, AZ, locations. There is no remote / hybrid / telework available for this position. Relocation assistance, while not guaranteed, may be available.
In this critical role, the Sr. Staff Engineer Systems will lead a cross-functional team through the development, validation and transition to production of the SiAW Program, Guidance and Control Section. The selected candidate will serve as the technical authority, driving system-level decisions and ensuring that all requirements are met. The selected candidate will act as the primary interface with internal stakeholders, and business leadership to ensure the successful development, integration, and test program for the USAF SiAW Program. Success in this role will reflect extensive experience in leading and managing technical teams through all phases of the engineering development lifecycle for RF-centric systems such as RADAR and Electronic Warfare (EW). Experience with system architecture and design, sensor performance simulation and analysis are necessary as this position will require technical leadership and know-how in developing and transitioning concepts from Technology Development to Engineering Manufacturing Development (EMD) to Full Rate Production. Skills and experience in multi-discipline engineering, systems integration and test are preferred.
