Schneider Electric is seeking talented individuals with a strong work ethic to be part of our manufacturing team in Fairfield. We currently have opportunities for Electronics Assembly Technicians for our manufacturing department. Job responsibilities may include the strict application of standardized processes in manufacturing / production processes across a broad scope including for example some basic maintenance processes and continuous improvement.

This job might be for you if you can :

• Safely execute standard work and suggest improvements to operating procedures
• Achieve proficiency in all assigned stations
• Execute operations to meet efficiency target standards
• Assist with training, as needed
• Identify and elevate to the Team Leader any risks regarding health, safety, quality and environment, including reporting all incidents and near misses.
• Ensure the quality of the operations performed by controlling and respecting standards
• Apply escalation process in case of any deviation (safety, environment, quality, performance)
• Ensure proper recording of barriers and performance in Red / Green follow up
• Perform basic line preventative maintenance
• Ensure proper 5S standards are maintained
• Assist with startup and continuous improvement projects
• Facilitate teamwork and collaboration by actively engaging with team members to foster a supportive and inclusive work environment
• Regularly participate in relevant training programs to enhance skills and knowledge

Qualifications :

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship. High school diploma or GED required. Relocation assistance is not available for this position. Candidates must pass a pre-employment drug screen as well as a background check to the satisfaction of the Company. We are seeking candidates with a solid work record of safety, job performance, and attendance. Candidates must be able to communicate effectively.

Physical Demands :

The role primarily requires the employee to be on their feet for the majority of their workday. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, stoop, squat, reach to or below shoulder level, lift, carry, push, pull, and use hands to handle and feel. The employee is frequently required to climb and reach above shoulder level. The employee is regularly required to lift / carry up to 40 pounds. The employee is frequently required to push / pull up to 40 pounds. The employee is occasionally required to push / pull greater than 40 pounds with assistance.
