Job Summary

Our client is seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Assistant to perform a variety of patient care and clinical tasks to support the healthcare team. This role involves direct interaction with patients and requires the completion of vital signs, patient evaluations, and other essential medical procedures to ensure the highest level of patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform medical intake procedures including vital signs and history documentation.
• Conduct complete patient evaluations and assessments.
• Record and report symptoms, reactions, treatments, and changes in patients' conditions.
• Administer immunizations as directed by the physician.
• Practice safe phlebotomy skills using standard precautions.
• Document all patient care in an accurate and timely manner.
• Complete all medical prior authorization and documentation requirements.
• Maintain temperature logs for all clinic refrigerators containing specimens and medications.
• Practice safety, environmental, and infection control methods.
• Assist with referrals and coordinate services with other organizations, federal, and local programs.
• Collaborate with clinic team members to coordinate patient services.
