General Summary :
The ARNP or PA-C, under the supervision of the Physician(s), who acts as the collaborative practitioner, is responsible for :
- Performs physical examinations of hospital patients including, but not limited to : new patient visits, pre & post-operative care, hospital consultations, inpatient rounding and discharging of patients per hospital protocol
- Provides assistance during procedures when requested
- Orders and interprets appropriate diagnostic tests, such as routine laboratory, X-ray, etc
- Monitors the patient’s course of treatment and makes appropriate referral to either a physician or specialist, as needed
- Collaborates with physician and staff as necessary to provide consistent care to patients and support to staff
- Displays a caring and professional attitude at all time as well as maintaining personal and professional growth

Master’s degree in Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant studiesPreferred Education / Experience :
Previous Internal Medicine or Hospitalist experience is required 1 -2 yearsPrefer 2 years of inpatient-based medicine, preferably in Internal Medicine Licensure, Certification, and Registration :Current, valid Florida ARNP or PA license (or eligibility) requiredCurrent, valid DEA licenseANCC (or equivalent) or PANCE Certification (or eligibility) requiredCurrent BLS and ACLS required
