We are seeking a Training Lead - Simulators to lead simulator management and training at the Savannah River Site.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrates a clear understanding of company goals and objectives and the integration of the Liquid Waste scope with the overall Site mission.
- Contributes to and implements the company's training strategy, providing direct supervision to assigned personnel and expertise related to assigned area(s).
- Develops and maintains a consistent management approach to simulator maintenance, upgrades, and testing for all SRMC simulators.
- Develops and maintains a consistent management approach to simulator training material development for all SRMC simulators and simulator training implementation.
- Acts as the management point of contact for all technical issues associated with all SRMC simulators and mockups.
- Assumes primary responsibility for project-level tasks to include interfacing with vendors and CAMs.
- Assumes primary responsibility for the training and qualification of SRMC simulator instructors.
- Assists other facility training leads with the design, development, and implementation of future training simulators and mockups.
- Develops and manages simulator KPIs to track simulator performance and effectiveness.
- Develops, performs and documents formal and informal individual and group assessments to determine simulator training program effectiveness.
- Imparts the importance of safety, conduct of operations, and professionalism of training staff.
- Ensures administrative functions such as records, information management, scheduling, and performance assessments are up to date and handled appropriately.
- Manages the day-to-day activities of staff including assigning work, removing obstacles, providing coaching, mentoring and career development support.
- Fosters and encourages new ideas and methods for the advancement of the training organization.
- Develops, creates and / or generates ad hoc and standard reports as requested.
- Manages special projects or assignments as directed by the Training Manager.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university and relevant training experience; orAssociate's degree and relevant training experience; orHigh School Diploma / GED and relevant training experienceMust have courses in education or training that focus on instructional analysis, design, development, delivery and testing, as well as evaluation of training programs, if not included in secondary education course material.This position falls under DOE Order 426.2 and as such must meet the conditions of the order. This may require additional specific training and / or knowledge dependent on position's duties and responsibilities.Bachelor's degree in Education, Training or Engineering.Familiarity with applicable federal regulations and Department of Energy Orders.Previous supervisory or leadership experience.Benefits
