Responsibilities
Account Management : Manage a designated portfolio of commercial lines accounts, ensuring all client needs are met and exceeded.
Client Interaction : Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing excellent customer service and support in a timely manner.
Policy Review : Conduct comprehensive reviews of insurance policies with clients to ensure complete understanding and satisfaction.
Documentation : Maintain accurate records in our agency management system, ensuring all client information is up-to-date and handled securely.
Problem Resolution : Address and resolve client inquiries and issues effectively, liaising with insurance carriers as necessary.
Renewal Processing : Oversee the annual renewal process for all commercial accounts, striving for clarity and accuracy in all transactions.
Requirements
Experience :
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Commercial Lines Account Manager within an insurance agency setting. (Applicants without prior insurance agency experience will not be considered.)
Licensing :
Must hold a valid Massachusetts Insurance Producer License (Property & Casualty).
Communication :
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients, carriers, and team members.
Organization :
Proven ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Problem-Solving :
Strong analytical and decision-making skills with the ability to proactively identify and resolve issues.
Technology :
Proficient in insurance management systems and the Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word). Experience with AMS360 or similar systems is preferred.
Customer Service :
A demonstrated commitment to client satisfaction, retention, and relationship-building.
Location :
This position requires on-site attendance at our Northampton, Massachusetts office. Hybrid schedule is available after 6 month period.
