Accounting Manager
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Manager to oversee and manage the daily operations of our accounting department. The role involves handling accounts payables, payroll review, day-to-day accounting tasks, and month-end processes. Responsibilities include managing and overseeing daily operations of the accounting department, executing month and year-end processes, handling accounts payable, general ledger, and journal entries, performing balance sheet reconciliations and analyses, conducting revenue and expenditure variance analysis, monitoring fixed asset and capital grants activity and subsystem, analyzing accounting data and producing financial reports and statements for management and Board of Directors, establishing and enforcing proper accounting methods, policies, and principles, completing 1099s annually, collaborating closely with auditors, and performing other duties as assigned.
Essential skills include proficiency in accounting, general ledger, reconciliation, payroll, and accounts payable, experience with day-to-day accounting tasks, including general ledger, reconciliations, and closings, experience reviewing final payroll, past experience with implementations, knowledge of GAAP non-profit accounting, excellent Excel skills, ability to manage various tasks with competing priorities, strong verbal and written communication skills, adherence to confidentiality policies, leadership capacity and teamwork skills, and strong computer knowledge for using MS Office, accounting, and billing software.
Additional skills and qualifications include a bachelor's degree in accounting, minimum five years of GAAP accounting experience, advanced Excel and computer system skills.

This is a permanent position based out of Greenwich, CT. Pay range for this position is $100,000.00 - $105,000.00 / yr. Salary is commensurate with experience.
