- Deliver focused individual therapy sessions addressing communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing challenges.
- Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams, including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, and families to establish comprehensive care plans.
- Provide education to patients and their families to aid in their therapeutic progress beyond the clinic.
- Occasionally engage in inpatient therapy assessments to ensure continuity and quality of care throughout the recovery process.
- Document patient progress in compliance with state, federal, and organizational standards timely and accurately.
- Stay updated on the latest best practices by participating in continuing education and opportunities for professional development.
Education - A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification has not yet been obtained.
Certifications - Active state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
- Preference for Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification needed within 30 days of your start date.
Skills - Expertise in evidence-based methods for assessment and treatment across all age groups, particularly for developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
