Assistant / Associate Professor (Entrepreneurship), Department of Management & Entrepreneurship, Haslam College of Business, University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Location : University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Open Date : June 13, 2025. Position effective date : August 1, 2026, or when filled. Compensation will be competitive.

Position Description

The Haslam College of Business and the Department of Management & Entrepreneurship invite applications for tenure-track positions in Entrepreneurship at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. The department offers two undergraduate degrees, a master's degree in management and human resources, two minors (Entrepreneurship and Social Entrepreneurship), and a Ph.D. in Strategy, Entrepreneurship, & Organizations. The college is AACSB accredited and has a large and growing faculty footprint. The university is located in Knoxville, Tennessee, with ongoing infrastructure expansion including a new 240,000 square foot College of Business building opening in 2027.

The successful candidate will join a faculty with established research and teaching in entrepreneurship and related fields. The appointment can begin August 1, 2026, or when filled. The Knoxville area offers a range of cultural and recreational opportunities, and the university is within driving distance of several major research facilities and urban centers.

Responsibilities

• Engage in entrepreneurship research that results in premier publications.
• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in entrepreneurship and / or innovation.
• Participate in professional and university service activities commensurate with faculty rank.
