We offer a competitive sign-on bonus for eligible full-time positions: $7500 for Direct Care Respiratory Therapists with one year of experience and $5000 for those with less than one year (must be licensed in South Carolina). Accountabilities
Supervisory/Management Responsibility
This position does not manage others and will report to a supervisor or manager.
Minimum Requirements
A graduate from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program, eligible for South Carolina licensure, or a senior student graduating within three months.
Required Certifications/Registrations/Licenses
Must hold or be eligible for licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in South Carolina; BLS certification is required. NBRC credentials must be maintained. Note that employees hired before June 2016 can be Certified Respiratory Therapists; after June 2016, passing the Registered Therapist cut score and Clinical Simulation Exam within six months of graduation is necessary for continued employment.
NRP and PALS certifications are required for independent work in the NICU and PICU.
Other Required Skills and Experience
Ability to work effectively in a team, complemented by strong communication, computer, and organizational skills.
