Responsibilities Position is in a post-acute, inpatient acute rehab unit with 29 beds Common patient types include neuro, neurosurgery, amputations, multi-trauma, cardiac, and complex medical cases (trachs, no vents) Patient ratios are 5 : 1 for days and 6 : 1 for nights Uses Epic charting system Work schedule is 12-hour night shifts from 7 : 00 pm to 7 : 30 am Every other weekend and holiday rotation required Floating required to LTAC or med-surg units (not to HAU unless trained) Tele packs used, but not monitored by RN No call or standby requirements RN is responsible for attending team conferences for acute inpatient rehab No charge nurses; house supervisors provide administrative support Nurse aides available with a 1 : 9 to 1 : 10 ratio Physical, occupational, and speech therapy services available on the unit CPAP / BiPAP used at night for sleep apnea cases, and high flow nasal cannula (no heated high flow) 2-day classroom orientation followed by 2-3 days / nights with a preceptor, learning QRP and specific rehab documentation Any color scrubs may be worn, but no t-shirts unless approved Negative drug screen for all panels required Local rate applies for candidates within 50 miles Requirements Active IL RN license or confirmation of license application process initiation Minimum 1 year of RN experience Current BLS certification (AHA) Strong neuro clinical skills required Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-617048.
