Biology Teacher - JOB ID# 12503

CREC Academy of International Studies , seeks a highly committed and dedicated Biology Teacher for the 2024 -2025 SY. Under the general supervision of the School Principal, the teacher will aim to develop students' skills and competence in biology; develop students’ skills and abilities in scientific methods and problem-solving, as well as an understanding of the application of science in the solution of practical problems.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• providing individual student and group instruction
• collaborating with classroom teachers as well as support staff
• monitoring student progress
• administering standardized assessments as necessary

The successful candidate must possess Biology 7-12 CT certification (030), adequate knowledge and application of subject matter and a working knowledge and understanding of the Next Generation Science Standards. In addition, candidate should possess excellent organizational skills, ability to keep concise records, excellent personal/interpersonal communication skills and experience working with high school students.
