We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in Rancho Palos Verdes, California. The ideal candidate will excel in managing financial transactions with accuracy and efficiency, ensuring that all accounts payable processes are handled seamlessly. This role requires a proactive individual with strong organizational skills and a keen eye for detail.
Responsibilities :
- Review and verify invoices for accuracy, ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Accurately code invoices and process them for timely payment.
- Perform regular check runs and ensure appropriate approvals are in place.
- Reconcile accounts payable transactions to maintain accurate financial records.
- Address and resolve any discrepancies related to invoices or payments.
- Communicate effectively with vendors and internal teams to resolve payment issues.
- Maintain and organize financial records for easy access and audit purposes.
- Assist in month-end closing activities related to accounts payable.
- Collaborate with team members to improve accounts payable processes and efficiencies.
- Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar financial role.
- Proficiency in processing and coding invoices with high accuracy.
- Familiarity with check runs and payment reconciliation procedures.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of standard accounting principles and practices.
