Working Conditions : Remote or Hybrid position, minimum of 10 clients per week, Flexible Schedule

Position Summary : The Therapist or Therapist Associate position is responsible for providing assessments, psychotherapy and group therapy for a caseload inclusive of adults, adolescents, and / or families experiencing symptoms related to mental health.

Responsibilities :

  • Evaluate clients’ mental condition based on review of client information, interviews, observation, and collaboration with other staff members to perform clinical assessments and develop treatment plans.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans based on clinical experience and knowledge.
  • Provide psychotherapy and counseling to clients, individually and / or in group sessions, to assist them in meeting their treatment goals.
  • Use evidence-based treatment approaches to provide quality care to assigned caseload.
  • Modify treatment interventions and approaches as needed to comply with changes in clients’ status and every 6 months
  • Submit billing and other related paperwork in a timely fashion.
  • Maintain all professional licensure(s) required and provide prompt cooperation with third party credentialing for billing purposes
  • Maintain up-to-date client and program records and submit all notes for services within 24 hours.
  • Prepare and maintain all required treatment records and reports.
  • Maintain confidentiality of records related to clients’ treatment.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications :

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and / or ability required.
  • Master’s degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work or Similar.
  • Licensure in Maryland as one of the following : LCPC, LGPC / LGMFT or Resident in Counseling may be considered.
  • Must have the ability to work remotely.
  • Evening and / or weekend availability.
  • Must have at least 3 months experience providing telehealth and strong comfort level with technology.
  • Must be accountable and collaborative. Working remotely, clinician will be expected to proactively take ownership of key tasks, and keep in regular communication with the team.
  • Must have a passion for working with diverse communities.
  • Must have good written and oral communication skills and good organizational skills.
  • Must maintain organization, coworker, and client confidentiality and abide by the Data Privacy Act and the Health Information Portability and Accountability Act.
  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Knowledge of Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems, Insurance billing, social media marketing o Experience with speaking engagements, workshops and facilitating trainings
  • Licensed in more than one state, specifically DC, MD and VA
  • Classifications : Therapists are classified based on years of experience, supervision capabilities and years employed by the organization. Classifications include Therapist Associate I, Therapist Associate II, Therapist I, Therapist II, Therapist III
