Operations Research Analyst (SME)

📍 Northern Virginia Area

📌 Full-Time| On-Site | Contingent Upon Award

Synertex LLC is seeking qualified candidates for a Subject Matter Expert (SME) Operations Research Analyst role in support of a mission-critical program. This position is contingent upon contract award. The selected candidate will apply advanced analytical methods, data modeling, and problem-solving techniques to support high-level decision-making within the Intelligence Community.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform advanced research, analysis, and evaluation of systems, procedures, and models in assigned functional areas.
  • Develop mathematical and statistical models to identify solutions that balance risk, cost, and effectiveness.
  • Analyze technical and operational data to define problems, identify trends, and recommend actionable solutions.
  • Validate and test models to ensure accuracy and reformulate as needed.
  • Prepare reports and briefings that summarize findings for government leadership.
  • Provide coaching, guidance, and leadership to less experienced analysts; may serve as a task lead.
  • Support Insider Threat and risk management initiatives by analyzing large data sets and identifying anomalous activity.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Active Top Secret / SCI clearance with Polygraph.
  • Bachelor's degree in Operations Research, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field.
  • 15+ years of relevant experience applying advanced operations research methods.
  • Experience analyzing large data sets using statistical and algorithmic techniques.
  • Strong technical writing and presentation skills.

    • PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience implementing or supporting Insider Threat programs within the U.S. Government.
  • Familiarity with DoD / IC risk management processes and tools.
  • Experience with big data platforms and advanced analytical applications.
  • Prior experience serving as a team or task lead.
