The Internship Program allows college students to learn the industry and gain hands-on experiences in heavy civil construction, asphalt operations, plant maintenance, quality control and more. You will work alongside the most skilled and talented people in the industry and have learning opportunities to gain project management skills and have operational experiences that will focus on your professional development. In this position, you will be engaged in learning how to take skills developed in college and apply them in a professional setting. You will complete tasks using both interpersonal and technical skills appropriate to the specific job assignment while adapting to new or changing situations in a team environment. You will also have the opportunity to network with Company leaders while presenting internship experiences and findings.

Job Description Summary

• Construction Operations - Hands on learning experience with asphalt paving crews and heavy civil construction crews.
• Hotmix Plant Operations - Hands on learning experience with our hotmix plant operations.
• Quality Control and Quality Assurance - Hands on experience with our hotmix QC lab setting.
• Properly follow all company policies and OSHA / MSHA regulations for safe working procedures and environment.
• Safety - participation in daily safety discussions and toolbox meetings
• Estimating, pricing, and bidding work
• Contract administration - subcontract and material contract management
• Trend tracking - tracking of quantities, costs, and progress curves
• Equipment and material management
• Material takeoffs and material receipt inspections
• Scheduling and work plan development - coordination between plant and construction activities
