Director of Nursing ($5,000 Sign on Bonus)

Terraces at Los Altos, a distinguished HumanGood life plan community, is seeking a Director of Nursing (DON) for its Health Center team. Under limited supervision, the DON plans, directs, organizes, and evaluates nursing services to meet the total needs of the community's residents; ensures an efficient health facility operation in cooperation with other departments and in compliance with state and federal regulations; and provides care in accordance with our “Philosophy for Person-Directed Care.” $135K-$160K (DOE) plus performance-based incentives $5,000 sign-on bonus! Essential duties and responsibilities of the DON include, but may not be limited to : Making daily rounds to observe residents and ensure that staffing levels meet residents' needs; Ensuring all appropriate and necessary nursing care is provided in the Skilled Nursing setting; Interacting with residents and families / responsible parties and staff; answers questions, gives directions and support; Directing admissions and discharges within the Health Center; coordinating with the acute hospital, assisted living, and independent living staff; Supervises nursing and management staff including scheduling, hiring, training, and evaluating; acts on team member concerns; What you will need to be successful in this role : Completion of Accredited Licensed Nursing Program (RN) Current CA RN License Current CPR certification BS Degree, Masters preferred; or equivalent combination of education, training, and related professional experience Minimum of 3-5 years of professional managerial experience in a related field Excellent clinical observation and assessment skills Proficient computer skills necessary to complete documentation, review electronic health records, and communicate with team members What’s in it for you?
