Food Service Manager

• Mary Kendall Campus, Owensboro KY Organization : Kentucky United Methodist Children's Homes Status : Full-Time | Exempt | 40 hours / week Salary Range :     $47,000 - $50,000 for the minimum qualifications of a Bachelor's degree in a related field OR four years of food service supervision experience $54,180 for five to eight years of experience Final salary will be determined upon verification of years of experience Mission : We serve Christ by providing for the physical, emotional, educational, and spiritual needs of children and families.
• About the Role We are seeking a dedicated Food Service Manager  to oversee and ensure high-quality food services for our clients and staff.
• This leadership role is responsible for supervising food service personnel, maintaining compliance with health and safety standards, and supporting a trauma-informed environment for residents.
• Key Responsibilities Lead and supervise food service staff, ensuring teamwork and professional development.
• Oversee meal planning, preparation, and special event menus in consultation with dietitian and campus nurse.
• Manage purchasing, inventory, and adherence to budget guidelines.
• Ensure compliance with health department, OSHA, licensing, and safety regulations.
• Provide training, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen, dining hall, and storage areas.
• Support agency mission and uphold confidentiality standards.
• Ability to research and prepare  authentic international dishes , adapting recipes while maintaining cultural integrity.
