This is a Hybrid position Pay range : $66,000 -$98,000 The Senior Credit Analyst / Portfolio Manager position prepares analytical documents used to determine the credit worthiness of new, renewal and existing commercial loan customers via the analysis of financial statements, credit bureau reports and other credit file information.

This position will also be responsible for an assigned portfolio of small market client relationships, proactively managing all credit aspects of the portfolio including new requests, renewals, and modifications, monitoring covenant compliance, risk ratings and overall credit quality of the portfolio.
Through these analyses’, the Analyst / PM evaluates the financial condition of individuals and businesses requesting credit, meeting customer expectations and deadlines and ensuring the completeness of credit file documentation, while also underwriting new business opportunities in support of the overall department and Bank goals.
- Determines the credit worthiness of new, renewal and existing commercial loan customers via the analysis of financial statements including : accounts receivable, accounts payable, balance sheets, income statements and forecasting projections, as well as credit bureau reports and existing credit file information.
- Responsible for ownership of portfolio, acting with a sense of urgency, to meet deadlines, and meet or exceed client expectations.
- Conducts appropriate and thorough industry research and background documentation to support credit analysis preparation.
- Reviews existing loan relationships for credit quality, documentation adequacy and proper credit file administration.
- Prepares written analysis (i.e.
Loan Presentation Sheets, credit memorandum, financial spread sheets) and recommends the appropriate action on new, renewal and existing loan customers.
Orders, tracks and analyzes equipment appraisals, residential / commercial real estate appraisals and environmental reports.Responsible for underwriting and structuring credit facilities for new and existing clients, which includes spreading statements, performing sensitivity analysis, risk assessment and grading and completion of credit approval documents.Participate in the preparation and review of commitment letters and legal documentation.Associate’s Degree, or equivalent, in Business, Economics, Finance or Accounting required.Bachelors Degree a plus
Some additional educational experience, through in-house training sessions, formal school or financial industry related curriculum, should be business or financial industry related.Two to five years of commercial credit experience in banking with understanding of financial statement analysis.Knowledge of accounting, financial statement analysis and standard commercial loan documentation.Knowledge of banking rules, regulations and compliance issues.Strong communication, interpersonal, negotiating and problem-solving skills.Strong analytical skills to determine relevant risk.Ability to read and interpret financial statements, ratios and credit reports.
