You will serve as the Director for Marine Engineering Group in the Naval Systems Engineering and Logistics Directorate of NAVSEA.

Salary : $197,152 – $225,700 per year (Actual salary may vary).

Employment Details
Type : Permanent – Full-time (Senior Executive Service).
Telework : Eligible for ad-hoc / situational telework.
Travel : Occasional travel required.
Relocation : Expenses reimbursed per applicable regulations.
Security Clearance : Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).
Responsibilities
Integrate Hull, Mechanical, and Electrical (HME) control systems, including cybersecurity, across surface ships, aircraft carriers, submarines, submersibles, and vehicles.
Establish technical requirements, standards, and specifications for marine engineering systems.
Ensure naval and federal vessels meet marine engineering and machinery system operational requirements to execute missions.
Provide leadership and guidance on technical authority execution, stewardship, business operations, and workforce talent management.
Develop national strategic solutions supporting Navy surface ships, carriers, submarines, and vehicle design, integration, and systems engineering.
Set and maintain technical authority policies and procedures to strengthen NAVSEA technical authority and RSE competency.
Engage in risk assessment and resolution of significant technical issues that cannot be resolved at lower levels.
Ensure technical and programmatic products for Navy readiness, ownership cost, schedule, and safety.
Negotiate and foster relationships with Navy laboratories, contractors, universities, and other field activities.
Qualifications
Candidates should demonstrate commitment to improving federal efficiency, uphold the U.S. Constitution, and pass the Executive Core Qualifications (ECQs) and Technical Qualifications (TQs). Resumes are limited to two pages and must provide evidence of ECQs and TQs.
Technical Qualifications (TQ) : Broad technical authority in design, technology transition, acquisition, fleet readiness, systems engineering, and stewardship.
Executive Core Qualifications (ECQ) : Five mandatory ECQs – Commitment to the Rule of Law, Driving Efficiency, Merit and Competence, Leading People, Achieving Results.

Education
Minimum education : Bachelor's degree in engineering (ABET-accredited) or equivalent engineering background with professional registration (PE, EIT, etc.). Professional engineering licensure or FE examination pass is required for most positions.
