Psychiatric Technician (Saturdays & Sundays)

Job Description

Liberty Healthcare is now accepting applications for a part-time Psychiatric Technician position with our forensic mental health program in San Bernardino County.

This program provides high quality psychiatric services to adults who are justice-involved and experiencing mental illness.

The goal of this program is to provide rapid mental health services to people in need, so they may achieve improved behavioral health outcomes as quickly as possible.

Services are provided to clients who are adult inmates at the West Valley Detention Center in Rancho Cucamonga, CA.

As a Psych Tech with Liberty, you enjoy an array of responsibilities, including:

• Providing vocational nursing services to clients one-to-one and in-person
• Administering medications to patients
• Providing health education to clients
• Documenting health status and treatment progress
• Collaborating with security staff
• Consulting with physicians and clinicians
• Helping to ensure program clients receive high quality mental health services

This position will require you to work onsite at the West Valley Detention Center in Rancho Cucamonga, California.

The work schedule for this position is every Saturday and every Sunday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.

You can expect to work approximately 16 hours weekly and be paid between $30.00 and $36.00 per hour, depending on experience.

You will also have the opportunity pick up additional weekday shifts from time to time.

Skills & Requirements

You are a good fit for this position if you are licensed professionally in California as a Psychiatric Technician (LPT).

You must be willing to commit to working every Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.
