Job descriptionTranslate official USCIS documents (immigration records, forms, evidence submissions) with 100% accuracy . Maintain terminology consistency in line with USCIS glossaries and standards. Proofread and review translations for clarity, grammar, and completeness. Handle urgent and high-volume assignments while meeting deadlines. Collaborate with quality assurance (QA) staff to ensure compliance with ISO 17100 standards . Adhere to USCIS protocols regarding confidentiality, privacy, and data security . Support expedited requests when needed (2448 hours turnaround). Fluency in English and at least one target language (priority : Spanish, Arabic, Mandarin, Russian, Haitian Creole; rare languages highly valued). Bachelors degree in Translation, Linguistics, or related field. 2+ years of professional translation experience (government, legal, or immigration sector preferred). ATA certification or equivalent credentials strongly preferred. Familiarity with CAT tools and secure translation platforms . Must be able to pass a Tier 3 or Tier 5 federal background investigation . U.S. Citizenship or permanent residency required. Competitive full-time salary + benefits.
