Job Description
Position : Full-Time Nocturnist (Internal Medicine)
Location : Yonkers, NY area
Setting : Closed ICU
Not all heroes wear capes. Some wear scrubs and thrive under fluorescent lighting at 3 a.m.
We’re looking for a board-certified or board-eligible Nocturnist who knows how to hold it down when the sun goes down. This isn’t a “just make it through the shift” kind of gig—this is a well-respected, well-oiled hospitalist program with a strong support system and actual work-life balance baked in. Yes, even for nights.
Here’s what you’ll get into :
12-hour shifts (you know the drill)
Straight nights only—no flip-flopping schedules
13–14 shifts per month (aka, you’ll have a life)
Closed ICU (so no, you’re not flying solo in the trenches)
Procedures are optional (repeat : optional)
5–7 admissions per night + RRT
Cross coverage is handled by NPs—because delegation is powerful
Start date : flexible, 3 to 6 months out
Why this gig doesn’t suck :
Base comp starts at $270K and scales with experience :
0–2 yrs : $270K
3–5 yrs : $280K
6–9 yrs : $290K
10+ yrs : Let’s talk—you’ve earned a higher bracket
Award-winning support staff who actually make your job easier
Manageable workload with a sane, flexible schedule
Benefits that make a difference : vacation time, calendar holidays, tuition assistance, CME
2026 grads can sign early—as long as you’re ready to commit before August 2025
What you bring to the table :
MD or DO with a valid NYS license (or on track to obtain it)
Board certified or board eligible in Internal Medicine
A cool head, a confident hand, and enough clinical judgment to know when to intervene and when to let the NP take the page
What this job doesn’t offer :
Visa sponsorship (just being honest)
If you’re tired of being overworked, under-supported, and underwhelmed, it might be time to talk.
