We are seeking a highly experienced and visionary leader to serve as the Head of Platform Governance and Strategy. This executive role oversees the programs that protect the integrity of eBay’s online marketplace and its subsidiaries by ensuring safe, compliant, and trusted experiences for buyers and sellers at scale.
The successful candidate will lead the team responsible for product safety, prohibited and restricted items, intellectual property and anti‑counterfeiting programs (PRPS & IP). They will provide strategic direction, implement robust end-to-end governance and operational processes for the full lifecycle of platform inventory governance—risk intake, detection, enforcement and quality assurance—maintaining clear policies and customer‑facing messaging as well as partnering with product and engineering teams to develop capabilities and run effective programs.

Compensation
The applicable base pay range for this position is dependent on work location. The base pay range in the San Francisco Bay Area, New York City Metro and Seattle Metro is expected in the range below : $234,000 – $312,400. The base pay range for all other U.S. work locations is $181,200 – $264,300.
Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits such as PTO and parental leave).
