Strategic Sourcing Specialist — Industrial Procurement

Core responsibilities
Research and identify reliable suppliers that meet organizational needs.Evaluate suppliers on quality, cost, and delivery reliability; drive continuous improvement.Negotiate contracts and pricing to secure favorable terms.Collaborate with internal teams to understand purchasing requirements and specifications.Forecast demand and develop effective procurement plans.Monitor inventory levels to avoid shortages and overstock.Analyze market trends to pinpoint cost-saving opportunities.Solicit and compare quotes to ensure competitive pricing.Optimize purchasing budgets in line with company goals.Issue purchase orders and track delivery status end-to-end.Confirm receipt accuracy for both quantity and quality.Resolve delays, defects, and shipment discrepancies.Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier communications.Ensure adherence to company policies, legal regulations, and industry standards.Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, or related field (required).Professional certifications like CIPP or CIPM (preferred).5+ years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing setting.Proven negotiation, analytical, and communication skills; proficiency with procurement software; understanding of supply chain principles and market dynamics.Track record of meeting deadlines.Strong organizational and planning capability.Effective communicator with operators, supervisors, and all management levels.Proficient in Microsoft Office.Proficiencies
