Position Summary : Our Drivers deliver a wide range of products specific to our industry including boxes, coils of wire, bundles of pipe, and other electrical components, parts, and goods. Trucks depart from our Central Distribution Center in Woburn, MA and are delivered to customer job sites across New England. Delivery stops are manifested to maximize route efficiency and ensure accurate and timely delivery.

Responsibilities :

Overnight Driver : Standard hours are Monday through Friday, 8 : 30 pm to approximately 6am. Delivery routes are upwards of 200 miles per night and average 15-30 deliveries (stops) per night, these time sensitive deliveries must be completed by 6am.

General Driver Responsibilities :

• Safely and efficiently deliver materials to customers.
• Communicates with the Fleet and Transportation Managers on the status of the route.
• Assists in loading delivery vehicle with parcels scheduled for delivery.
• Delivers parcels to correct addresses, following customer specific delivery instructions, obtaining signatures and providing proof of delivery photos.
• Picks up parcels along the scheduled route, including customer items being returned and other items as requested.
• Maintains company vehicle daily, including pre and post trip electronic inspections.
• Ensures that delivery vehicle receives basic service according to maintenance schedule; reports larger service needs and mechanical issues to Manager.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications :

Education : High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience :

At least one (1) year of experience as a delivery driver making deliveries and pick-ups on time.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :

MUST posses a valid driver's license (DOT eligible) and clean driving record

Ability to Drive and Operate Non-CDL vehicles including Sprinter and Transit Vans, 16' Medium-Duty Trucks

Ability to use navigation technology such as GPS and company provided smartphone

Working Conditions :

Overnights

Our drivers must be prepared for New England weather

Ability to lift at least 50 pounds, 100 pounds with help

Hazardous conditions may arise
