Contract-to-Hire Senior Tax Professional

We are seeking a senior tax professional to join a growing team and take ownership of complex tax engagements for both individuals and businesses. This role combines hands-on tax preparation with client advisory responsibilities and offers the opportunity to mentor junior staff. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity. 100% on-site in the office in the Uptown area of Dallas, Texas.

Key Responsibilities :

• Prepare and review complex individual and business tax returns (Forms 1040, 1120, 1120-S, 1065, 1041).
• Communicate directly with clients to gather tax documentation and resolve inquiries.
• Handle IRS notices, advocate for clients, and manage correspondence with tax authorities.
• Collect and organize documents for tax return processing.
• Mentor and support junior staff, including those pursuing CPA certification.
• Collaborate with accounting leadership to ensure accurate and timely client deliverables.
• Assist with accounting support tasks such as journal entries and payroll compliance.
• Track fixed assets, inventory, and prepare depreciation schedules.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state tax regulations and filing deadlines.
