Eye Care for Animals Far West (ECFA) is looking for a Veterinary Technician to join our team as part of the Thrive Pet Healthcare community.

About You

As a Vet Tech, you'll play an important role in pets' lives by providing comprehensive care throughout their journey. Your life-changing work will range from the hands-on care of facilitating outpatient treatments and performing laboratory tests, to surgery assistance, to support services including admitting and discharging patients.

Job Overview :

The Veterinary Technician is responsible for a variety of tasks related to customer service and patient care within the veterinary practice.  Tasks include animal handling, pre, and post-operative patient care, creating and presenting financial options and estimates, accurately entering service charges into the client database, extensive client interaction, and preparing medications.

Other qualifications include :

• Previous veterinary technician / assistant experience required
• Licensed Technician preferred, but not required
• Proficient in IV catheters placement, blood work, and IV, IM, and SQ injections
• Proficient in monitoring anesthesia and working with various monitoring equipment
• Team player
• Eager to learn and is self-motivated
• Enjoys a challenging and fast-paced environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient computer skills (email, uploading / downloading files, typing, etc.)
• Ability to multi-task with a smile

Compensation negotiable based on credentials and experience with an hourly pay rate starting at  $20 - $25 /  hour  for  non-licensed techs  and  $25-30 / hour  for  licensed techs . The actual rate offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location .
