We are currently seeking a Structural Engineer II for our client in Pittsfield, MA. The Engineer performs advanced engineering tasks that are assigned and monitored by his / her immediate supervisor. This position applies his / her technical knowledge to produce high-quality, timely work. This position must be within driving distance from Pittsfield, MA, Troy, NY or West Hartford, CT.
Job Duties
Technical :
- Understands advanced engineering principles, material properties, and other applicable engineering concepts.
- Maintains knowledge of all applicable codes, safety requirements, and other standards.
- Under the supervision of a licensed professional, prepares working drawings and specifications, and performs detailed calculations for projects of increasing difficulty.
- Prepares technical reports or review and approval for establishing the design criteria of a project.
- Is proficient in utilizing relevant design and analytical software.
- Takes a lead role in coordinating with multidiscipline teams.

Project Management
Understands the scope of services as outlined in project contract and identifies when / if client requests are out of scope.In collaboration with other team members, understands client needs and analyzes constraints in project schedule, scope, and budget to add value through proposed solutions.Monitors project deadlines as it relates to deliverables within one's responsibilities.In collaboration with other team members, leverages combined knowledge of planning, design delivery, and construction completion to make informed recommendations to the client.Directs staff towards project milestones.sks thoughtful, relevant, and open-ended questions to better understand clients' needs.ctively listens to develop rapport.Visits project sites, attends meetings with clients, architects, and engineers.Prepare status updates on assigned tasks.Leadership / Management

Bachelor's degree and / or equivalent experience.5 -7 years of experience preferredEngineer in Trainingbility to use Engineering software (Revit and CAD) and Microsoft Suite products.Annual Salary Range : $70,000.00 - $90,000.00
