Straz Center for the Performing Arts is seeking a Restaurant Manager who will oversee the daily operations of Maestro's Restaurant and Canopy Bistro from set-up to breakdown when they are open to the public for Broadway shows and special events.

Essential Functions :
Management
- Achieves a high level of efficiency and productivity in all restaurant staff defined by achieving annual sales goals and maintaining labor costs.
- Ensures patrons receive superior service.
- Provides feedback and coaching, trains, and evaluates the performance of all restaurant staff.
- Makes recommendations for improvements to the Executive Chef or VP of Food and Beverage.
- Ensures a professional and uniform appearance of the restaurant staff in accordance with the uniform code.
- Responsible for up-to-date training of staff including, but not limited to, POS, liquor / beverage knowledge, and a la carte operations.
- Oversees the handling of all reservations and updates the VP of Food and Beverage and Executive Chef prior to restaurant opening and makes necessary adjustments.
- Coordinates with the Executive Chef regarding food knowledge and expediting.
- Prepares daily sales report and monthly P&L statement.
- Conducts a monthly stock inventory, submitting an inventory report to the VP of Food and Beverage for review by the 7th of each month.
- Ensures inventory levels are maintained and supplies are ordered and delivered in a timely manner to keep pace with business needs.
Professionalism
Uses professional knowledge and skills, both technical and managerial, to ensure the highest level of patron and guest satisfaction.Develops a sense of accuracy and urgency in the restaurant and café staff.Administrative
Responsible for the budgeting and projection of sales in all Restaurants, including labor and other expenses.Develops and maintains the par system for the restaurant and department linen requirements that will assist in achieving forecasted goals and maintain the highest standards of quality.Updates POS system as it relates to all daily restaurant operations.Monitors the accurate completion of appropriate paperwork and allocation staff tips.Supervisory Responsibilities :
This position supervises the restaurant staff.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) :
Ability to effectively lead, motivate, and relate to staff, peers, and clients.Project a professional demeanor and appearance and communicate effectively with clients and staff.Knowledge of room arrangements and standard table settings.Ability to maintain composure in stressful situations.Education and Work Experience :
Bachelor's degree in related subject preferred.TOAST POS experience required.1 year of restaurant supervisory experience required.Physical Demands :
