Job Title : Emergency Room Social Worker Profession : Social Services Specialty : LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker) Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Night Hours per Shift : 12 hours Experience : 1 year License : LCSW or LMSW (pending license accepted) Certifications : LCSW, LMSW Must-Have : Acute care experience, ER experience preferred. Experience in care management and psychosocial assessments. Description : This position is for an Emergency Room Social Worker. The role requires working in acute care settings. The Emergency Room Social Worker provides psychosocial and emotional support to patients and families. Responsibilities include conducting psychosocial assessments and creating discharge plans. The clinician will assist with resource navigation and coordination of care. Engagement in safety planning and crisis intervention is required. The clinician will coordinate with various team members to ensure safe discharge plans. Experience in collaboration with healthcare providers to facilitate quality patient care is essential. The position requires knowledge of relevant policies and regulations in social work. Additionally, the role includes screening for suicidality and completing reports as necessary. Candidates should be open to working weekends and accommodating float requirements within the hospital. This position does not involve behavioral health assessments as a primary focus.
