Job Summary and Qualifications
The CT Technologist is responsible for performing routine and specialized imaging procedures utilizing ionizing radiation, adhering to established professional and departmental standards. You will produce high-quality CT images for physician diagnosis and treatment.
What you will do in this role :
Compassionately assist and position patients on the CT table.Start IVs for contrast administration as necessary.Evaluate image quality and make necessary adjustments.Provide patients with proper post-procedural instructions.Maintain a safe and sterile environment by preparing and cleaning the room and equipment between patients.Comply with radiation safety procedures and guidelines.What qualifications you will need :
Graduate from an accredited allied health program.ARRT certification or registry-eligible, with completion within six months of hire.Advanced CT Registry to be completed within six months of registry eligibility.Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.One year of hospital experience in Diagnostic Radiology, with preference given to CT department experience.Effective communication skills for interacting with patients and colleagues.Ability to maintain composure in high-stress situations.Able to respond to on-call duties promptly, reporting to the facility within 30 minutes.Research Medical Center is a 585+ bed hospital providing a variety of medical services, including obstetrics, trauma care, and specialized programs for stroke and cardiac rehabilitation across various Kansas City locations.
