Transmission & Distribution Engineering Supervisor – Requirements & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field (required)Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification (preferred)5+ years of engineering experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or project leadership roleKnowledge of electrical and civil engineering principlesStrong understanding of applicable industry standards, electrical codes, and regulatory requirementsProficiency with CAD, spreadsheets, databases, and other engineering applicationsValid driver’s license with clean driving recordMust Haves
Lead, mentor, and train a team of T&D Engineers and Construction PlannersOversee scheduling and resource allocation for capital projects and construction timelinesEnsure designs meet safety, efficiency, and compliance standardsCollaborate across departments including Asset Management, Real Estate, Vegetation, and Project ManagementProvide updates and reporting to senior leadership and stakeholdersTroubleshoot and guide engineering design challenges in real-timeDevelop and implement processes to improve team efficiency and productivityPreferred Background & Skills
Professional Engineer (PE) license strongly preferredDemonstrated success in project management within utility or construction engineeringStrong communication, leadership, and decision-making abilitiesExperience working in a regulated utility environmentAbility to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment with competing priorities
