Pediatric Physician – Outpatient Clinic
Summary
This position plays a vital role in the pediatrics program. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive medical services for minor patients, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment in an outpatient setting, ensuring care meets national standards.
Essential Functions

- Provide equitable care to all patients regardless of background.
- Deliver professional, courteous service and maintain patient confidentiality.
- Perform evaluations and treatments, including history-taking, physical exams, well-child checks, diagnosis, coding, ordering tests, and prescribing medications.
- Develop care plans for acute and chronic conditions and preventive health maintenance.
- Maintain accurate documentation in EMR and close notes promptly.
- Review and sign off on lab and imaging results; ensure follow-up as needed.
- Initiate and manage specialist referrals and communicate with specialty providers.
- Participate in professional education, peer review, and quality improvement programs.
- Meet productivity standards (goal : 25–30 patients daily).
- Attend care team huddles, provider meetings, and staff meetings.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Education & Certifications
Licensed to practice medicine in California.Board Certified in Pediatrics.DEA Certificate.CPR Certification.Skills & Experience
Strong interest in serving underserved populations.FQHC experience preferred.Familiarity with quality measures is a plus.Ability to be credentialed successfully.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Bilingual (English / Spanish) preferred.Physical Demands
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 25 lbs.Repetitive movements and prolonged sitting may be required.Position Details
