American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Interventional Radiology position requiring MN licensure, ACLS / BLS certification, and Epic experience.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in the Interventional Radiology unit within an acute care hospital settingResponsibilities include procedures in IR, CT, MRI, ultrasound, and pre / post (Phase 2 Recovery) carePatient care provided for both inpatient and outpatient populations10-hour day shifts from 8 : 00 to 18 : 30, four days per weekNurse-to-patient ratio is typically 1 : 5On-call required as needed by departmentNo weekend shifts requiredNo floating required outside IR departmentUses Air pal for safe patient movement in IR, ceiling lift in CT, and NK monitors with EtCO2Electronic Medical Record : Epic / Excellian, experience requiredResponsibilities include prep and recovery for procedural patients, moderate sedation for CT, US, IR cases, MRI monitoring of pacemaker patients, anxiolysis, and medication admin for nuclear medicine patientsPerforms procedures such as biopsies, tubes, lines, drains, lytics, thrombectomies, neuro, body and vascular / liver embolizationsWorks both independently and alongside anesthesia and procedural teamsScrubs are provided for this positionFlat rate parking available on siteFull compliance with hospital testing and module requirements prior to start is necessaryTime off requests ideally limited to 5 days for the duration of the assignmentFirst-time travelers are welcome for this role\n \n Requirements\n
Active MN RN license or eligibility for licensure; pending licenses acceptedCurrent ACLS and BLS certifications requiredMinimum of 1 year recent experience in interventional radiology nursing or related specialtyExperience with Epic EMR requiredMust provide at least one supervisor reference for considerationLocals not accepted unless for radiology positions; must reside at least 100 miles from facility unless exception appliesMust have been separated from previous perm or per diem position at the facility for at least 3 months\n Benefits\n
