ER RN Job Details – Millen, GA

Location : Millen, Georgia 30442 – Experience the charm and tranquility of rural Georgia, with access to outdoor recreation and local amenities.

Facility Type : Community hospital, 4-bed Emergency Department

Position Type : Locum tenens (travel nursing contract)

Start Date : October 13, 2025

End Date : January 12, 2026

Contract Length : 13 weeks

Shift : Night shifts, 12 hours (7 : 00 PM – 7 : 00 AM), blocked scheduling

Schedule : Alternates weekly between 3x12-hour and 4x12-hour shifts; every other weekend required

Hours per week : 36

Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $1570-$1610

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department RN experience

Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse license (Georgia or compact state; must be in hand at submission)

Current certifications : ACLS, BLS, PALS (required)

CPI certification preferred but not required

Experience with electronic charting systems (CSPI preferred; training provided)

Prior community hospital experience required

First-time travel nurses accepted (must have ED experience)

Ability to work independently; may serve as sole RN in ER with support from Med-Surg floor staff

ER Nurse Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive emergency nursing care to patients of all ages (neonates, pediatrics, adults, geriatrics)

Manage a 1 : 4 nurse-to-patient ratio in a 4-bed Emergency Room

Perform triage, assessment, and emergency treatment for trauma, acute illness, mental health crises, and more

Administer emergency medications, IV therapy, and advanced procedures (chest tube management, intubation, EKG interpretation)

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members (Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Radiology, Pharmacy, Social Services)

Accurately document patient care using the hospital’s charting system

Maintain infection control standards and isolation precautions

Participate in blocked scheduling and work every other weekend as required
