Overview : Pay :

$17-$19 hourly

Position Summary

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of all mechanical, electrical, and process equipment at the chemical plant. This role involves performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on machinery, instrumentation, and infrastructure to minimize downtime and maintain production quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and inspections on pumps, valves, compressors, reactors, heat exchangers, and related chemical processing equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, replace or repair faulty components, and ensure timely restoration of equipment.
• Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot instrumentation and control systems.
• Collaborate with operations and engineering teams to improve equipment reliability and process efficiency.
• Maintain detailed maintenance records using the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
• Assist in equipment installation, commissioning, and plant modification projects.
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with plant safety, environmental, and quality standards (e.g., OSHA, EPA, PSM).
• Support root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective action initiatives following equipment failures.
• Respond to emergency breakdowns and assist with plant shutdown and startup procedures.
• Participate in safety meetings, training, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Skills and Experience :

Knowledge of pumps, piping systems, rotating equipment, and industrial electrical systems.
