The Internal Auditor role is pivotal in evaluating the client company's financial and operational processes to ensure compliance, identify risks, and recommend improvements. They are responsible for improving the company’s operations by conducting assurance and advisory engagements by using a variety of procedures to test the design, adequacy and operating effectiveness of controls.
Job Responsibilities :
- Planning, organizing, and eventually leading various audit engagements for the client's businesses worldwide.
- Examine the company's financial records, accounting practices, and business operations to identify potential risks and inefficiencies.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Analyze risk management processes, identify areas for improvement and recommend solutions to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
- Collaborate with management to develop and implement policies and procedures that promote transparency and accountability.
- Participate in special projects, due diligence reviews, post-acquisition reviews and investigations, as required.
- Attend seminars and training courses; stay current on job-related technology.
- Act as an objective source of independent advice to ensure validity, legality and goal achievement.
Job Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in accounting / finance.Masters or certifications (CPA / CIA / ACCA) preferred4-8 yrs experience in an external audit firm. Big4 experience preferredAbility to travel up to 2 weeks at a time & around 6 trips a yearCareer Growth & Work Experience
The position is a stepping stone into the client's Finance team & is considered a fast-tracked finance management development program. After 2-3 years in internal audit, learning company operations, internal auditors are promoted into finance roles across the globe. This is not an opportunity for those who want to stay in audit long term.
