Registered Nurse RN

Position Purpose :

The Intensive Care Unit at Mount Carmel Grove City is an 18-bed mixed medical / surgical unit. The unit is primarily comprised of medical patients and routinely provides care for surgical patients including the cardiothoracic population. Any critical care patient coming into the hospital comes to the unit giving nurses the chance to care for a wide variety of patients. The range of patients provides the ability for nurses to develop a broad skill set and to thrive in various situations. ICU nurses respond to sepsis, STEMI and stroke alerts as well as code blue calls throughout the hospital providing expanded opportunities to support the team and the patients each shift. Supported by the staff-led Professional Governance Committee, the MCGC ICU provides excellent care and compassion for the critically ill and their families.

The Registered Nurse RN, within the scope of the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, will provide care in an atmosphere sensitive to each person’s physical, emotional, social and spiritual needs. The Registered Nurse RN, collaborates in the spirit of teamwork is accountable for the delivery of patient care utilizing the Nursing Process within the standards, policies, procedures and guidelines of the Organization.
