Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cath Lab / Angio position with on-call responsibilities and at least 2 years of interventional cath lab experience.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work within a hospital-based Interventional / Cardiac / Vascular setting
  • Care for cardiac, vascular, and interventional radiology patients
  • Perform IR, vascular, cardiac catheterization, pacemaker, and IABP insertion procedures
  • Work variable day shifts, either 8 or 10 hours, for a 40-hour work week
  • On-call required 1-2 days per week including weekends and holidays
  • EMR used is Meditech
  • Monitors utilize Sensis
  • Uses Siemens radiology equipment
  • Part of a 4-person call team
  • May be required to float to other nursing departments
  • Provide specialized care for patients undergoing angiography, cardiac cath, pacemaker, and IABP insertion
  • Participate in hemodynamic monitoring and radiology image processing
  • All travelers must report to Employee Health 48-72 hours prior to assignment start
  • Candidates must be available for 24 / 7 coverage if necessary, including all shifts
  • Dress code or scrubs not specified
  • Plan to arrive in Hawaii by the Thursday before the assignment begins to complete onboarding with Employee Health

  • Active RN license (HI or Compact) by start date
  • Minimum of 2 years recent experience in an interventional cath lab setting
  • Current BLS certification required
  • Demonstrated competency with interventional cardiology, vascular, and radiology procedures
  • Basic knowledge of Computerized Tomography, MRI, Ultrasound, and Nuclear Medicine procedures
