Psychiatrist Medical Director Locum Tenens Job in the Bay Area California

Details / Requirements :

Medical Director needed to provide 100% administrative / non-clinical services who is local to the Bay Area to support multiple programs and sites. Need is for at least 30 hours per week and potentially 40.

Hours 8A-5P, M-F.

No call after scheduled hours on weekdays or on weekends.

Medical Director needed to oversee their outpatient case management programs with SMI (seriously mentally ill) patients and their 16-bed locked adult MHRC rehab center inpatient program with SMI patients and is open 24 / 7 / 365 and their adult outpatient and TAY programs.

Prefer a board certified local doctor who has medical director experience who can commute and be regularly and mostly onsite for the first month or two. After the first one to two months, the locums medical director can go onsite at least half of the time and otherwise do their administrative work remotely; however, the client is asking for the doctor to be flexible week by week re : how much onsite vs. remote work (possibly some weeks where there could be more onsite time than other weeks, for example).

Strong leadership skills, good with processes, being a mentor and coach, and providing workflows, project management, and keeping people well versed on their responsibilities. They also want the medical director to monitor clinicians' performance, including KPIs like monitoring productivity, billable hours, no shows rate, etc. Will conduct quality and peer reviews.

Takes about a month or so for credentialing.

Board Certification is preferred, not required.

Client has an electronic medical record, so you must be computer savvy.

Client prefers 3-month minimum assignments but the longer the better.
