Nationwide Therapy Group is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Johnson City, New York.

✅ Shift : Night – 12-hour Nights; 36 hours / week, every other weekend

💉 Required Certs : BLS, ACLS

🩺 Required Experience : 3 years current ED experience + prior travel experience

🏥 Job Summary :

The Registered Nurse (RN) protects, promotes, and optimizes health and abilities; prevents illness and injury; and alleviates suffering through diagnosis, treatment, and advocacy in the care of individuals and families. The RN ensures compliance with the New York State Nurse Practice Act , United Health Services (UHS) policies, ANA and Emergency Nursing Association standards, and the Code of Ethics for Nurses .

💼 Job Responsibilities :

  • Assess, plan, delegate, coordinate, implement, and evaluate nursing care.
  • Educate patients and families on health promotion and disease management.
  • Administer medications safely in line with UHS Hospital policy.
  • Manage productivity and resource utilization effectively.
  • Comply with nursing standards, regulations, and UHS policies.
  • Participate in Nursing Shared Governance , unit council, and peer review.
  • Engage in professional development and complete all required education.
  • Integrate evidence-based practice and nursing research.
  • Support learning for new staff and students .
  • Perform Charge Nurse or Shift Coordinator duties when assigned.
  • Handle additional responsibilities as needed.

  • Every other weekend

    • Active New York RN License

  • BLS Certification (AHA, HSI, or American Red Cross)
  • Unit-specific compliance (per matrix)
  • Preferred :

    • Professional certification in related specialty
