Job SummaryThe Loan Phone Agent plays a key role in supporting the Closing, Funding, and Financial departments by facilitating communication between brokers, settlement agents, and internal teams. This position ensures smooth and compliant loan closings through document coordination, issue resolution, and exceptional customer service. While primarily back-office focused, the role includes handling inbound calls and troubleshooting third-party service orders.Key ResponsibilitiesHandle 15–25 inbound calls daily from brokers, settlement agents, and internal departmentsRespond to portal messages, emails, and chat inquiries professionally and efficientlyCoordinate loan closings by scheduling, preparing documentation, and ensuring readiness across all partiesPerform back-office tasks including document preparation, title clearance, and appraisal eligibility reviewsTroubleshoot third-party orders (title, appraisal, hazard insurance, flood certification, credit reports)Evaluate loan applications for product and regulatory complianceMaintain accurate records of loan closing activities and ensure documentation is properly filedDemonstrate behaviors aligned with the organization’s culture and valuesQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certifications in finance, real estate, or related fields preferredPrevious experience in loan processing, title, escrow, or mortgage is preferred but not requiredRecent graduates with strong communication and organizational skills are encouraged to applyAbility to obtain certification in Fee Collaboration and ClosingFamiliarity with Encompass software is a plusJob Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Moorpark, CA.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00 / hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
