Southern California Alcohol and Drug Programs, Inc. (SCADP) was established in 1972 in a grassroots effort by community volunteers seeking alternatives for individuals with substance use disorder (SUD). SCADP is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization providing residential and outpatient substance abuse treatment.
PAY RATE : $21.33 - $22.45 Per Hour

JOB SUMMARY AND PURPOSE
The Case Manager – Domestic Violence will conduct intake assessments, develop service plans for program participants dealing with domestic violence, as well as provide clients with linkages and advocacy for social services. This position is a mandated reporter for child abuse, as set forth in California Penal Code Section 11165.7.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provides client centered intake screening and handles hotline callers to provide appropriate referrals and determine if individuals / families meet criteria for shelter admission.
- Conducts comprehensive screenings and assessments with individuals (or families) experiencing Domestic Violence, to collect functional, environmental, psycho-social, financial, employment, housing, educational, and health information, as appropriate.
Assess barriers facing the clients and develop a case plan.
Coordinate individualized planning with clients to meet short- and long-term needs.Provide service linkages and support systems to ensure identified needs are met.Coordinates case conferences with residents, consults with service team, monitors progress of clients on case plan, assists clients to meet the agreed upon goals.Acts as advocate for client before judicial, community, social service, and administrative bodies as needed; facilitates support groups and client participation as appropriate.Completes appropriate documentation and information on all aspects of resident care, including internal records, reports and logs, as well as required external reports to law enforcement, service providers, and funder.Monitor clients, volunteers, staff and authorized visitors to assure adherence to all shelter and safety rules and regulations as per ANGEL STEP INN policies.Seek professional development and participate in In-Service training.Other duties as may be required to achieve program goals.ESSENTIAL DUTIES :
Assessment : through individual meetings on a regular basis and as part of Case Management team develop a detailed plan of action to meet the clients needs, set goals and find the necessary resources to meet those goalsCoaching and Social Support – accompany participants to activities and servicesCoordinate Care and Case Management as part of team, connecting participants to appropriate servicesAdvocacy for participants before other agencies / community settingsCapacity Building – motivating participant progressOutreach and Engagement – Meet participants and bring into programsOther duties as required and may be subject to changeQualifications
REQUIREMENTS :
Must be able to pass a fingerprint clearance, background check, including criminal history, personal references, employment and education verificationsEDUCATION :
Associate’s degree, in social services or related field, OR HS / GED and 6 months of Social Services case related experience.Completion of 40-hour Domestic Violence certificate within 6 months of hireEXPERIENCE :
6 Months of Social Services case related experience OR Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree in Social Services related fieldPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :
