About The Position
Job Title : Orthopedic Technician
Profession : Surgical Services

Shift : Day 5x8-Hour
Hours per Shift : 8
Experience : Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Orthopedic Technician
License : Valid California license required
Certifications : BLS required; national orthopedic tech certification preferred
Must-Have :
- Previous charge experience preferred
- Patient ratio experience of 4 : 1 preferred
- Epic charting experience preferred
Description :
This position is for an Orthopedic Technician.
Candidates are required to have a minimum of 2 years of experience in orthopedic technology.
First-time applicants are accepted.
Weekend work is not required.
On-call duty is not required.
Candidates will not float within the scope of their practice to meet facility needs.
Block scheduling is not accommodated.
Locals are accepted.
Pending licenses are not accepted.
Requests for time off must be submitted before the offer is made.
Daily patient age groups include adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
The daily census is approximately 120 patients.
Candidates should have skills such as closed / open reduction of fractures, crutch fitting / education, fiberglass / synthetic cast application, removal of casts / splints, splint / immobilizer application, suture removal, traction application, wound care, and dressing changes.
Candidates may float within the hospital as needed.
